Poprock Bakeshop & Cafe CDO

Weeks ago (I've been a very bad blogger), several of the CDO Bloggers and I were invited to check out the newly opened Iligan-based Pop rock Cafe and Restaurant along Tiano-Jr. Borja St. The cafe has been a family corporation since March of 1990 in Iligan City, the concept inspired by Archie Comics.

The déco was inspired by Hardrock Cafe outside but more homey inside. It's warm and you instantly like it. Since it's close to offices, office workers and frequent the place, along with students from campuses around the area.

The food was marvelous! Western with a Filipino twist! The bestsellers that we tried are the following:

Crab Sandwich Salad. Yes, crab, sandwiched, saladed. I'm allergic to crab but was still able to try because they were crab sticks. Everything surprisingly worked together, along with fish prawns on the side.

Chicken BBQ Salad

Their version of Piadina was great, it was my favorite dish that night. I love Italian flat bread. Everyone stepping into Poprock Cafe should DEFINITELY try it! No is not an option!

Their Chicken Fettucinni and Lasagne were quite notable too. Some have reported their lasagne to be the best in the Dvsoria area but I'll leave it to you to decide. Visit Poprock Bakeshoppe & Cafe now!

P.S! They served us desserts too! We tried bite sized chocolate moist and red velvet cakes. These little cuties are only php15 apiece (perfect for gifting to your friends on their birthday) Also tried their take on Silvanas, my favorite Filipino dessert of all time. In our city, it's the closest to my favorite Sansrival version (but as far as I can say, Sansrival's is really sans rival). Their Tiramisu would awaken you, not just because of the sugar and caffeine, but because of the rich, delicate flavor of the cream.

Thanks to Ms. Roselle for having us. Thanks to my blogger friend Germz Nabua for these photos!
