Awesome Ways To Upgrade Your Breakfast!

We humans just love breakfast! We have a national breakfast day and whole restaurants dedicated to breakfast food. For some of us, breakfast is the main reason that we wake up in the mornings! So, why accept anything less than incredible? Boring, plain, tasteless breakfasts simply won’t do. Here are three plain breakfast meals improved.

Plain Pancakes to Red Velvet Pancakes

Yes, you read that right. Why are you just eating plain or syrup pancakes, when you could be eating red velvet ones!? Thanks to part of the recipe coming from a pre-made cake mix, they’re also way more simple that you might have thought! Mix a pre-made red velvet cake mix in a bowl with butter, an egg and milk. Whisk well to ensure you don’t end up with lumpy pancakes at the end. Then just make your pancakes the way you usually do, with a little oil in a frying pan. Top with a cream cheese icing. Who says you can’t have your cake and eat it?!

Plain Porridge to Fruity Oat Bowl

You can buy crunchy cereals & oats online that will be suitable for this recipe. Everything else you’ll want to get from a fresh fruit market stall! This is because this breakfast is all about health and nutrients. It is fantastic to kickstart a busy or demanding day. This is because the fruit inside it will give you a portion of your 5-a-day. Plus, the oats will give you slow-released energy, which will take you right up to your next meal. The other great thing is that if you make overnight oats, you can just grab the pot and go in the morning! Great if you’re in a rush, it makes a healthy breakfast and a much better alternative to a pastry from the local coffee shops.

The great thing about a fruity oat bowl is how you can tailor it to your favorite fruits! A popular version is a strawberry one. First up, though, you need to make your base. Combine your oats, some Greek yogurt a little salt and some syrup in a bowl. You will also need milk, but unsweetened is recommended. You can also add a little vanilla extract if you fancy. For the strawberry version, add some chopped strawberries, cream cheese, and lemon juice also. Yum!

Eggs On Toast to Spicy Chorizo eggs

Eggs are great, sure! But there are definitely ways to upgrade the way that you eat yours. Here is one great recipe. It’s known by lots of different names, but we’ll call it ‘Spicy Chorizo Eggs’ here! Get a pan really hot, and warm your chorizo through a little. Remove your chorizo and add onions, garlic, red peppers and oil to your pan. Follow with a can of tinned tomatoes, and then crack four eggs into the mixture, letting them cook. A few minutes before they’re ready, add your chorizo and a generous sprinkle of mozzarella. Serve with garlic bread or plain ciabatta if you’d prefer, and some sour cream. Truly delicious. You’ll never settle for plain old eggs on toast again!
