E-Books vs. Real Books

Some people prefer reading the written word. But I'm so used to reading ebooks, I find myself not being able to read the written word anymore. Once I finish reading one book, I don't need to go home and get another one and not only do I get to read without the lights on (for late-night-hiding-from-my-mom reading), but I can also read them from anywhere--from my tablet, desktops, laptops and even smartphones (making it far more portable than even the smallest pocketbook).

Plus, A local bookstore may not always be stocked with all of the titles that a reader like myself may be looking for. These days, it is very convenient to shop for books online. In fact, online bookstores rarely run out of inventory of particular books. Readers can always expect that these bookstores always have virtual shelves that are stocked with a variety of different genres and subjects. Finding a book at an online store is very easy. A simple search box allows readers to locate a book by author, title, ISBN number and even relevant keywords. By contrast, we may have to spend a lot more time trying to find a hard cover book at a brick and mortar bookstore. Book-pal is an example of a modern online bookstore that makes it easy to purchase all types of titles.

Sure, you can't smell the pages but I think that's the only downside of switching to e-books. The 'hurting-eye' thing that people are talking about can be managed by modifying your device's light settings, font style and size and page borders.
