A Silver Wedding Anniversary

If you've been following my blog for a while now, you might notice I went to a numer of weddings last year (well, 'a number' by my standards) and just last December, I had the privilege of attending a silver anniversary ceremony. Our executive pastor and his family have been close to us, we went on several vacations together (Boracay, Singapore and Malaysia to name a few). It was a very wonderful time, I'm so glad I was able to witness their reaffirmation. (Garden weddings are the best!)

I started prepping two weeks before the actual date. I was ushering and wanted to look decent (okay, more than decent). I was too busy looking for a nearby boutique that had some formal attire for women that I didn't bother much with checking online. Big mistake, because Zalora Philippines has a great selection of beautiful formal wear! And they even ship for FREE! I am seriously buying from them for a wedding I'm attending in Dumaguete this Saturday.

This was one of the pictures taken by one of the Official Photographers

They ceremony, held at the gardens of the Xavier Estates Country Club, was ministered by Bishop Ef Tendero of the Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches. Bishop Bong serenaded Tita Mila with a beautiful Filipino song (I don't know the title) while she walked down the aisle, her three sons taking turns in escorting her.

The reception was held at the same venue. There was singing, dancing, picture-taking and eating, as always. I had so much fun because I sat with my best friend Page. She studies in Manila and we don't get to see each other alot so it's always a breeze when we finally get the moment to hang.

The elegant draping and decorations looked better in person. they had an awesome chandelier cake! Amazeballs! But remind me never to put Deb in charge of the camera again. I had to crop most of these.

My sister Abby designed the bride's wedding gown. She worked on it when she came home for the duration of the semestral break last November. I like the elegant pearls on the back most. The shape is very flattering as well. My sister's graduating fashion school this April (I'll be attending, if my duty schedule allows it).
