Ohmygosh! I can't believe it's thanksgiving already. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! (albeit a bit late). Did the turkey roast alright? How's the mini family reunion? I hope you had fun spending your thanksgiving yesterday. Sadly, my country doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving even with all reasons to. But don't you worry about me, there's still lots of fun to be had where I'm from!
Anyway, while we're on the topic, I'm going to celebrate by naming the things I'm thankful for this year.
1. My life. I am so thankful to God that I haven't gotten myself killed this year. That my lungs are still respiring--air still travels from my nasal cavities to my pharynx, to my trachea, to my primary bronchi, secondary bronchi, tertiary, bronchioles and finally, to my alveoli. I also appreciate that God still enables my heart to pump out and my veins pulsate blood. Okay fine, this is more like physiology class but really, I'm so thankful to be alive and kicking and eating well. Praise God! Being eighteen is bliss!
2. My home, my family. We made lots of big family steps this year. With the marriage, the move and the vacations. But even more, I'm thankful that God still binds us together in love, harmony, and peace. Trials came and went, friends came and went but at the end of the day, blood is thicker than water. They supported me through the many ups and downs of my so-far life. Having a great family infront, behind and beside you is amazing and I'm so blessed to be blessed with such!
3. My friends and church. The young and old. To my closest friends who I know are constantly praying for me, and I for them. Blood may be thicker than water, but Page is denser. Haha, anyway, I've made new friends this year, many who impacted my life the big way--in ways even I nor them couldn't have imagined. Truly, what beautiful souls you have! My pastors who've discipled me to becoming a better lady of God, thank you, God bless you and increase your lot! Even to my friends who, just plain and simple, cheer me on, God bless you guys! Yes, even you stalker people! I love you guys~
4. My Studies.I did not expect to be continuing on my nursing dreams (for a while) this semester. It's proved to be challenging for me, having been an after 10am comer in high school. But God's really revolutionized my habits through school and I'm so happy we can still afford my schooling and I am still a student. Being a student may not be as great to the student, but it's most definitely coveted by many who wish to but arn't able to go to school. I realize how blessed I am to have this opportunity in my hands and for the sake of myself and the many who believe in me, I wish to keep it this way until I walk the merry aisle of graduation.
5. My hobbies. They're surprisingly waiting on me and school, not interfering, but waiting. I guess I have their inanimateness to thank for that though. They don't tempt me as much as they did before, yay!
6. This awesome blog and the awesome people who gives an umbrella to an eighteen year old's life and sometimes pointless ramblings. This is seriously better than a shoulder to cry on on bad days. Thank you for the two months plus plus! I stopped counting at two months but will continue to enjoy this experience with the whole blogosphere! Nevermind that I'm being corny. I miss my used to be corny hair btw, both the color and the length. But I'm supposed to be talking about the blog right about here right?
Anyway, this has been wonderful and these six things are all that I can think of right now. So six pence for them all? I'm giving you a discount because it's black friday today. Happy shopping, everyone! Hope you save some hot deals for me!
Happy Thanksgiving.
