Let's Do #Brunch At Missy Bon Bon!

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day but as a student making the most out of her summer, waking up early to lavish healthy aliment is nearly impossible (and highly improbable, no matter how devourable the devourables might be). Glen Cook couldn't have said it any better, "Morning is wonderful. Its only drawback is that it comes at such an inconvenient time of day". For those of you who, like me, are convinced that gravity is stronger in the morning, it seems that Missy Bon Bon really thought our predicament through when they debuted Brunch at Missy Bon Bon. Who needs to compromise sleep and scrumptious food?

This April 16, Missy Bon Bon will be celebrating their 4th birthday and my, do they have a treat for all of us! Every weekend (Saturday & Sunday) for the whole month of April, the famous CDO breadshop will be dishing out a delectable brunch buffet for only Php350. Don't forget to tell your friends that brunch begins 10am - 1pm (so they better be out of their jammies then!)

Appetizers

Start your day right by starting your meal right! Appetizers are actually my favorite part of a course because I love how they tickle my gastronomy. Plus when I'm having fun chatting up to friends, I find it rude to chow obscene amounts of food so I usually look to hors d'oeuvres to save me from breaking decorum (sort of, lol). When you try MBB's appetizers you sure aren't going to break anything but a fast. My personal favorite is the Cream of Squash.

Pancakes
Scrambled Eggs on Baguette
Chef's Salad with House Dressing
Cream of Squash
Sizzling Sausage and Mushroom with Crispy Cracker Crumbs (What a mouthful! Ha! Pun intended!)
Entrées

Now unto the star of every meal, the main dishes. Some originate locally (Danggit) and others Internationally (Pesto Pasta, Teriyaki, etc) but infused with flavors Filipinos love so much. I had a hard time deciding on my favorite. It was a tough battle between the Shepherd's Beef Pie and the dulcified Cagayan Pineapple Ham but the former won my heart because of its hominess (and inherent love for pies).

Pesto Pasta
Danggit
Cagayan Pineapple Ham Sweet and Tangy with Caramelized Pineapple Sauce
Missy Bon Bon Fish Teriyaki
Shepherd's Beef Pie
Rosemary Lemon Herb Chicken

I had such a great time with these lovely ladies (plus Andrew) and the wonderful staff of Missy Bon Bon. Thank you to Mr. Mikko Mahinay for having me there! No doubt soon, I will be having another go at #BrunchAtMissyBonBon (Never forget the hashtag, kids!) Now for an awkward picture! >_<

It was an Alice-inspired event. Of course, I went as movie version Tweedle Dum (ish!)
