A Lifestyle Switch

Hi, blog babies! I'm sorry for the long week and a half of no update. I know, I know, you want to grill me but before you do, please hear out my alibi! I'd been adjusting to my summer classes which comprises half of my day. Also, following my CGYFit post, I've been going to the gym to train in the mixed martial Art of Eight Limbs, Muay Thai. I've been going for a month now (twice a week), it's really fun and challenging for me since I have never in my life tried to get fit. Sports I tried in the past are Golf (high school), Tennis (way back, like, 8 years old) and sports required in school (swimming, badminton, volleyball).

GETTING FITTER
The coaches are really very friendly and I usually get an average of 6-7 rounds per sesh. They push me, encourage me and inspire me to be better one session at a time. Conditioning kills me but it's slightly better than Ab training I guess (they make me do both alternately). The other day I took the video of me practicing my kicks but after seeing how wrong my form is, I decided it's best not to upload it (WAIT FOR A BETTER VIDEO IN THREE MONTHS, KIDS!)

Anyway, if I'm not too shy to approach people, I am actually decently capable of chatting up someone (I'm better at this abroad, so it seems). I met a few friends and we just help each other out (more like them helping me out). It's like we're a support group (minus the terminal illness / vices). One offered to help me out with my nursing review queries and materials. Yay!

I go to the gym immediately after every class and wrap up about 7-8pm.
LOW CARB DIET
After my session last Thursday, Mia Durano asked me about my diet, which is basically DAT (diet as tolerated) or EAT ANYTHING UNTIL YOU FEEL SICK. She was shocked that I wasn't on any real diet and concerned because all my efforts were just going to waste. In all honesty, I wasn't even prioritizing losing weight but come to think of it, since I was already burning cals without meaning to, I might as well start thinking about losing weight (something that only bothers me when I buy clothes but seem to bother everyone around me). She told me about the Low-Carb, High-Protein diet and while she was discussing what I could and couldn't eat, I realized the fullness of the sacrifice this entails.

(1) I can no longer tell people I'm trying to lose weight to balance what I'm trying to gain by gastronomizing.
(2) There's a whole new meaning to 'I invested a lot of money into my belly'
(3) No more portions for two in one meal
(4) No more ice cream and lots of food I love
(5) What do I do to GCs given to me by food establishments?
(6) Krispy Kreme just invited me over for donuts. And I already said yes!

HOW ON EARTH WILL I SURVIVE AS A MOSTLY FOOD BLOGGER?!
Major dilemma, someone help me!

Regardless, I've decided I'm really going to do this so I started that very evening (Krispy Kreme T_T). For my first breakfast meal, I had a power omelette. I am not at all domestic, so this was a challenge for me. However, I followed my instincts and it turned out okay (hey, at least it's edible).

Ingredients: eggs x2, burger patties, cheese and the green things on top (I just saw them in our kitchen, Idk what they're called. Again, undomesticated here!) All cooked in butter.
