(Drafted this in the wee hours of the morning but decided to delay publication until in right mind-as if 11pm the next night is any improvement)
Hey, guys! I'm writing this post at the break of dawn because I've been up since 10 pm and haven't gotten an inch of sleep in there. So I decided to write this post to help those hardly-insomniacs like myself. Tiny laser beams are piercing the tree's leaves and soon enough, it would be time for a morning jog. Meanwhile, here are my unsolicited tips to sleeping better.
> Develop a Stress Free (or Reduced) Life
> Develop proper bed and wake up time. Studies say that people who have a functional body clock have more active mind throughout the day, which allows relaxation and dormancy during the night.
> Don't take an afternoon 'nap' that lasts for seven hours. Sure enough if you took a nap 3 in the afternoon and woke up eons later, it's going to keep you up better than any strong form of caffeine can.
> 8pm don't make for lovely evening strolls. Now, it might be nice to jog at night but jogging 2hrs before you go to sleep will result to you being wide awake for at least a couple of hours more and wondering what on earth you did wrong.
> Do not drink water, urinate, brush your teeth excessively. Hello, Activity = Active-ty. If you wanna go to sleep, you do nothing, think nothing. Boredom sends you ZZzing.
> This is no time to synthesize or making unspoken hypotheses for the statistical probability of love at first sight! There's a time for everything but now's just not the time! Counting rarely helps too (that's thinking and utilizes alot of mental energy! which genius thought of that?)
> Don't risk reading a book, the next time you look up, you've gone from Twilight to The Break of Dawn (I hope you see what I did there ;D)
Well, these are the things I'd advise myself. You'd think from all these sleepless nights, I'd have learned my lesson by now. But you know what they say, there's always room for more ;D
