Keeping The House

I am not really the most dependable person when it comes to household chores, I am not denying that. It kind of socks but I'll have to be honest with you, I find it hard to initiate on my initiative to work around, so you'll literally have to order me around, and I don't mind. My elder sister complains about this. I've been struggling with it for a while now. I'm working on it, praying that some wonderful miracle would happen that I'm suddenly housewife material, but the truth it, it doesn't work that way. Change doesn't happen over night, it's a process. Buying The Perfect Present

Birthdays are very important days. In fact, I get very sentimental on my own, very thankful to God for everything that's happened to my life so far. Buying teenagers birthday gifts is an arduous task if you want it to actually mean something to them. But of course, there are several types of characters that we should consider when buying them gifts. Several personalities we should consider.

• There are the givers, who would much rather treat other people out on their birthdays. It's best to take them and their friends out for some grub.

• There are the practical people who would much rather receive useful items or cash. This would be easiest, just ask them and they'all give you something specific.

• There are the sentimental people for whom it's always more about the thought than the gift that counts. You can give them fl studio 10 but know that they'll much rather receive a heartfelt letter, a handknit sweater or a scrapbook of all your memories together.

I can honestly say I am one of the practical birthday celebrants. Which kind are you?

Hobbies: Currency Collecting

I've previously mentioned that I have been dabbling into the art of attending graduations, and guess what other things I've been doing. Yes, as if the title could be any more cryptic. I have actually started collecting currencies since last year (I think). Most bills I have are from people who have generously donated to my current pot. (namely, Ate Ella, Mama, my sister Abby) I am in no way exchanging them, in fact, I purchase some. I have always been really interested in money but not for the reasons you think. I love watching them and the cultures attached to them. I feel a connection with the people of a country whenever I get a hold of their currency. It's a beautiful feeling. I always get excited but then I check my (lack of) hobby budget and ermm... Oh well, I have a lifetime to collect them. No rush! But just so you know, I'm preferring Asian currencies this year. I also want a Euro, because as sad as it is, I haven't gotten hold of a Euro yet.

Hobbies: Graduation Hopping

Okay, people have been asking me about my life recently and been questioning my identity on this blog because I haven't been posting my activities of late. I know, I know. I'm a pearl. (What?) Anywho, I would just like to rant about what I've been getting myself into these past few days. I've decided on a new hobby recently. I mean, I didn't plan on it, it just happened. One minute I was figuring out what I should do on a completely domestic day, the next, I was on my way to my friend's graduation ceremony.

The graduation hopping went on until today, which I hope will be the last graduation I'm attending until my very own. Anyway, the graduations I went to are IJ's, Deb's (my sister), Yovel's and Dale's.

I have always been following these people's updates. I am not usually that free to update myself on the latest musings of the pop culture, nor do I frequent Billboard's website. Usually I find out about the latest songs because of these people. I have to admit, I've always dreamt of becoming a youtube sensation. Parfois Opens in Centrio

Hey guys! Last weekend, I was invited to attend the opening of Parfois branch in Ayala's Centrio Mall in my city, Cagayan de Oro. (one of the million great perks of being a CdoBlogger) 

They gave us gifts to bring home as well. Thank you so much, Parfois Philippines!

There were tons of great loot that, if I had finances then and there, I would have bought! But as for now, I may have to continue convincing my mother to buy me a much needed accessory for our travel plans this May. Member of the Band

I’ve never mentioned this before but I'm in a band. A Worship Band. We're called Spectrum Band and we sing during our church's youth fellowship happening every two weeks. I'm an alto and have no other musical talent beside alto-ing. Being in a band has its perks, but that doesn't mean we're always united and stuff. Sometimes we have problems but most often, they fix themselves up quite nicely (Thank God!) Meanwhile, our equipment can do some upgrade. But everything’s simply so expensive on the web. Movie: The Godfather

Who hasn't seen the movie featuring the most infamous [fictional] mafia leader of all time? I saw this movie only a couple of years back and woah! I watched all three movies and have been wanting to read the book for a long time. But now even though I hardly remember the plot at all, I still have strong memories of Don Vito's partagas(or whatever them mafia bosses liked to cough out), the battered sister, the dead brother-in-law, the dead wife, and Al P's and Marlon Brando’s accents to complete the mafia Don-dom.

March 4 if Grammar Day.

That is why I intentionally went out of my way to post on the horrifying 4th of March, because unlike the 4th of July, the 4th of March gives me no freedom to commit grammatical errors. But I was still (secretly) browsing the net yesterday instead of studying and read this very informative (hmm, hmm.) article on my favorite community board (and study guide), Sparknotes.
