January 21, 2015, As part of Globe's #WonderfulMindaNOW campaign, Globe launched a campaign that allowed more locals to discover the beauty of their city. ExploreRaceON is what it's called (also the hashtag). Cagayan de Oro City, my awesome city, was one of Wonderful cities Globe launched the event in and I went to the winner-crowning ceremony (because my classes prohibited me from joining the race--OUTRAGEOUS! NO TO SCHOOL) so, here we are.
Around 50 teams raced to the top, 3 persons in each team. Those who accepted the challenge were able to share their experience because of the new Mindanao-exclusive promo GoCall30Plus wherein subscribers from anywhere in Mindanao can enjoy unlimited calls to Globe/TM subscribers + 30 MB mobile data for THREE DAYS! Hoooraay! No excuse not to tweet me now, kids!
The participants raced around 11 different hotspots in the city (Chingkeetea near my school included! SO CLOSE YET SO FAR). Mindboggling and definitely fun, that was. I was hyped up from sitting down in class the whole day so I was busy running around and dragging James of TheChubbyBuddy.com around with me that night. We went around to see the stalls and got our photos taken (I cant locate them at the moment)
The winners (Med and Friend, Mansoft, CYF CDO and ModGang) will be going on an all-expense paid trip to Davao to compete in the final leg of the ExploreRaceON along with explorers from other Mindanaoan cities. Php150,000 worth of cash and loot is at stake! I wish I could've joined, James had an exam and I had a very important report. We + another blogger could've been "Royal Court of Awesome" together.
