Which Lens Show La Vie En Rose?

I don't like wearing eyeglasses very often, but for laziness' sake, I do. Another factor is that my nursing subjects require me to wear them, instead of my contacts. Part of nothing too fancy, we might intimidate our patients. Which is all bugus, if you ask me. If you want my opinion on the matter, the underlying theme of this is the utopian-dystopian realm of Chicago in Divergent. And they're rearing us to be Abnegations, the uniform, the simplicity, the motto "men and women for others". It all boils down to this. Anywho, I find my glasses annoying during P.E, but they're extremely helpful when I start my late night reading hobby. If they were boyfriends, they wouldn't be as needy as contact lenses. It would be tragic and deadly for me if I accidentally slept with my contacts on. It would be deadly for my eyeglasses if I slept with them on. So really, if we put it that way, I really would much prefer to sleep with my eyes and sight apparatus unharmed. Why sacrifice if there's another way?

Eyeglasses nowadays are being taken in by fashion as accessories, items that decorate rather then enhance the eyes. Although I condemn no one for that, it's easily observable that the point of eyeglasses continually deteriorates. I can say the same thing for contact lenses. Again, there's nothing wrong with that, so long as they aren't unhealthy and damaging to your body.

my old pair of glasses. i loved these before i accidentally sat on them.

Stress Relief

Stress. Every nursing student's problem, every business man's companion and every shrink's money maker. But really, stress isn't that hard to ward off. For me, I daydream about going to the Maroon 5 Concert or even imagine myself winning Pink Concert Tickets. But what I'm really thinking about is where in the world wide web can I find Taylor Swift Tickets?

I Have A Dowry.

No, I don't remember converting to Islam, or some other religion / nation that has a dowry culture. In fact, the dowry was of my own making and will most probably be my own undoing since there's no way to go but forward (and I hate turning back on my words). What do you mean I lost you at "I have a dowry"? Sigh. Okay. Simply put, I put a dowry on my head when I took the oath that I wouldn't be running off marrying someone until I bought my parents a house. What if they want a yacht? Well, they prefer that and and I may need to work my buns off before I can marry (not that it's any time soon). Until then, I'm off the bachelorette list, the market (despite the fact that I've never been on), and bouquet throwing line up. In lieu of this, I would like to remind future me that I should at least think about it before I say "yes" because it's not just "yes, I'll marry you." It's more like "yes, you can have me. all of me. my children. my house. yada yada yada"

Anyway, to those planning to marry, or planning to at least get engaged, THINK TWICE. Haha! Just kidding, Anyway I'm not a love guru so it's not my business to give advices, a simple congratulations then.

And I'm off to posting some pictures of the wedding. These were taken by the mystery camera bearer of Ptr. John's camera & Genesis Rufino. Too bad we had to do the wedding inside, instead of the original Garden Wedding. It was only drizzling, but we couldn't risk it. Will upload more soon (when I get my hands on the official photographer's digitals!)

Moving In and Moving On.

You know what? I don't think I'm the only one in the family who does things in a whim. I was getting home wednesday afternoon, yearning for the comfort of my bed when suddenly. Mushrooms with eyes! Dad says I have no bed in my room anymore because they've transferred it to the other house. Well, I'll tell you what. Monday morning they told me we're moving. I didn't really believe them then. Grave mistake. Now I'm stuck in my slightly smaller but definitely fresher, cleaner and newer room. I was supposed to share turf with Deb but she opted for Abby's company instead. Hmf! Wednesday night I caved in on sorting my stuff and left my pile of clothes to their liberty as I slept. I thought I was going to sleep badly (hint: previous experiences at unused-to hotel rooms) but my body had other plans. And I kept mentally asking the parents, Why on earth are we moving on a weekday?! when I have classes, and church and lots of things to do. Then I figured out why. There's a wedding on Sunday. Whoopsidaisy.

New house pictures: (badly taken using my phone)

my window, just saw you know where to throw rocks at (or serenade *wink wink*)

In A Whim.

If blog readers can kill, you've probably murdered me right now. I have been so very very busy recently. What with all the last week of preparation before the Big Day. For those of you who know absolutely nothing about what I'm talking about, the Big Day's a wedding, where yours truly will be maid of honoring. The fun thing about maid of honoring is that, it's fun (DUH), the fallback is having school while the preparations are going on. Sigh. I was supposed to do lots and lots of things, ghost writing, studying and doing my homework but wasn't able to do so. I should really really prioritize better next time.

But if there's something you need to know about me, I do lots of things in a whim. Not really being sensible about it, but just doing it. I don't mean to (usually, they harm no one) but that's what happens some of the fliptacking times. Like yesterday, I was supposed to be busy with school but managed to take a sneak peek at our newly opened Centrio (Ayalaland) Mall. It was so packed! So when the guard wasn't looking, I entered through the exit! Now, I feel less of a law-abiding citizen. (this is actually my fb post on my friend's wall LOL).

Anyway, I wasn't able to take pictures yesterday, but I went there again today and got you guys these awesome pictures with Explorer Dad and Explorer Deb. Voila!
