I could ask you that but Obama doesn't think I should do so. In fact, he's planning to obliterate the possibility of the American posterity from ever laying eyes on the penny (and people still wonder why I'm Republican, haha). The penny holds such a big influence on the American people. I'm saying this and I'm not even American! But I wanna be able to use a penny when I finally get there. I practically whined to dad to save all his pennies earlier this morning. That is, before I read this article which turned me into a anti-penny-er. Haha.
Well, I dont know if its as big of a deal to you than it is to me. But I'm really a cultural sentimental kind of person. In fact, I've long acquired a 5 peso bill and wishlisited a Canadian Penny, Greecian Drachma and other currencies European countries lost to the unified Euro. I hate seeing even the tiniest part of culture lost but I seem so helpless in preventing their disposal. Because in the first place, they're creating more cons than pros. But if I had any choice in it, I dont want to say goodbye to Abe Lincoln's profile!
So, as you can see, a non-American is weighing the pros and cons of this. It's a global issue (it's really not). It's funny and I want to eat ice cream.
And thank you John Green for bringing it up. TSK TSK TSK. I'm not sure if I'm happy or not xD
